Remember that in times past, the Lord fought the battles of the people of old. Even though the enemy has strongholds, the Lord went before his people and fought them off. It is a promise that the lord has made and he shall keep his promise.
I know that you have been fighting a lot of wars in your life and the reason why you have been losing is because you don’t bring the Lord in the battle and you have been fighting alone.
You may ask how? Now I tell you that the reason why the lord has not been with you is because of Sin. Sin separate you from God. The Lord has made a covenant with you saying if we shall hearken unto the word of God, he will bless us and fight all our enemies.
If you remember the case of the Children of Israel when Moses was addressing the people in the Book of Deuteronomy 1 to 5, he made a summary of their journey from land of Egypt. He mentioned the fact that the Israelites who sinned against God was destroyed and how God punished the people. He then encourage the Israelites not to be afraid of the giants(enemy) that stood before them but they should trust in the Lord to deliver them into their hands.
How long will keep on fighting alone? How long will the anger of God been kindled against you? Why not come back to him on full repentance. Remember to him the covenant he made and ask him to fight for you.
No matter how strong the enemy is in the eyes of men, it cannot be the same in the eyes of God. For we like pencils in the eyes of the creator. I say “If God be for us, who can be against us” I put it to you, Nobody. So don’t be afraid, get the Lord to your side and begin to encounter victory all round. Bow down and pray.
Murmuring and complaining is one of the things that every believer in Christ must avoid.
Murmuring and Complaining brings about curse and even it does not help your spiritual life. The journey to Heaven is full of thorn that is it there will be challenges and persecution. There may be a time when you would want to give up, but remember that in those troubled times, do not murmur and complain.
Instead of murmuring and complaining, pray and talk to your heavenly father that he makes a way for you. Murmuring and complaining does not bring anything good to your Christian life except curse as it happened in the days of old in the book of Numbers 11 verse 1 which says “And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.” And also they did murmur again in Numbers 14 verse 2 “And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!“
This brought about the anger of the Lord and even a curse as written in Numbers 14 verse 27-29 “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me.”
So as a true believer, you must not murmur and complain and if you were doing this in time past, you must avoid it and from such turn away. How down your heads now in repentance and ask God to forgive you for murmuring and complaining.
We may be wondering why things have been up and down in your life. Maybe you have completely forgotten that you need to resist from sin. Last time I spoke about sin through ignorance.
But now I want to inform you that if only you can adhere to Gods instructions, he will bless everything about you. In Deuteronomy 28 verse 1 – 3 says “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.”
If you continue to read downwards, you will see all the blessings that will follow you if only you hearken to the voice of God.
Also the Lord promised the Israelites that he will give them rain in due season and bless their land if only they keep his statues. We can see that in Leviticus 26 verse 3-5 says “If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.”
The blessings of the Lord make rich and added no sorrow. So I urge you to obey God’s Instructions to receive the blessings of the lord.
When God made the heaven and earth, he also made man to keep it and thereby blessing all that he made to be fruitful and multiply. Generations have passed obeying God’s Instructions and many more are to come.
The instructions of the Lord are written in the book called The Bible. For one to know those instructions, one must be able to read and study the bible always.
In Joshua 1 verse 6-8 says “Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”. We could see that God has encouraged us to read his word daily and meditate on it.
Also the Lord has instructed us to keep his word and flee away from any false gods or idols. For you to be able to run this race to the end, you must be able to equip yourselves with the Word of God.
Finally in Leviticus 18 verse 4-5 says “Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord”. He has finally given us an instruction that entails you keeping his commandments and walk in his ways, for that bring life to every man.
It is required that when running this race, to be anointed over it. When a runner wants to run, he/she makes preparations and be sure that he/she is ready. Likewise it is the same for believers, it is important that you ask the Lord to anoint you.
God finds a way to anoint his people and getting them prepared leaving certain instructions to be use as a guide. In Leviticus 8 verse 6-13, you will understand that Moses anointed Aarons and his sons as priest of Israel as the Lord commanded.
Also Samuel anointed Saul as first king of Israel as the Lord commanded. No matter what journey you want to take, it is required that you ask the Lord to anoint you and put upon you the Armor of Christ.
At last is holiness. The race requires you to be holy according to Leviticus 11 verse 44-45 which says “For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 45- For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy”.
Remember that the anointing of the lord varies as in respect to the next step. So while wait, pray now and ask God to anoint you and put on you the Armor of Christ.
Many of us commit one sin or the other through ignorance. Some do say it doesn’t matter but I am here to tell you that it does matter because the bible says so.
You may be asking what is sin? It is written in 1 John 5 verse 17 “All unrighteousness is sin”. You may have sinned in time past and that led to your downfall. As you have decided to begin the race, you must acknowledge that you are a sinner, admit your guilt and ask God to forgive you.
Reading the book of Leviticus from chapter 1 to 7, you will understand how God instructed the Israelites in repentance. They were to bring offerings of goat, lamb, turtledove, pigeons, ram etc. They were to bring one for each sin committed, so you could imagine the number of offering the priest could have been receiving everyday to serve as an atonement.
But now you don’t need offering because God has sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to died for us.
Just because everybody does it, doesn’t mean it is right. Ask yourself where have I go wrong? How have I offended God? Once you are able to figure it out, then confess your sin and promise him no more.
Remember that Proverbs 28 verse 13 say “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy“. Bow down your head and pray for mercy.
You may have heard of The Heavenly Race. It is a race compulsory for every believer to run. To run this race requires The Comforter by your side.
This race will not only close a door, but make another to open. When running this race, you will encounter hurdles and setbacks. Your life will be open for trials, temptation, persecution and with this also make you a strong believer.
Many started the race but lost their way in the process. And for this very reason, this blog has been created to bring those who lost their way back and to recover back that love you once had for Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you now ready? Why don’t we start over. On Your Mark, Get Set and Go!!
